High performance, bold design. Phoenix GTX is a crampon-compatible backpacking boot, agile and ideal for fast use on rock, mixed terrain, snow and ice. Its secret lies in the innovative construction technique of the sole block: the foot is directly supported by the soft dual-density PU midsole to maximise the benefits of cushioning in terms of support and impact with rough terrain. The innovative Vibram® Stellar sole block is designed exclusively for Kayland. The internal construction features a honeycomb structure that lightens the structure, facilitates thermal insulation and shock absorption. The wedge is made of dual-density PU foam, positioned above the PU insole, which is also perforated to reduce weight and increase torsional stability. The sole block incorporates an insert for use with semi-automatic crampons, making it a perfect boot for mountaineering. The wraparound upper is made of microfibre and technical fabric. The transparent film protects against abrasion and supports the footwear. The toe and heel are reinforced with high-performance rubber. The elastic gusset wraps around the foot without creating compression: the fit is made even more comfortable by the collar with differentiated densities, which is resistant and lightweight. The lining with Gore-Tex Performance Comfort membrane guarantees total waterproofing and breathability. The Ankle Lock System protects the ankle and keeps it firmly in place, allowing natural movement. Phoenix GTX is an innovative semi-cramponable backpacking boot that makes performance and comfort its standout features, starting with the exclusive anatomical sole block. The innovative Vibram® Stellar sole block features a honeycomb drainage system that lightens the structure, facilitates thermal insulation and shock absorption. The height and closure are traditional to suit purists, but the fit is completely new and the look is aggressive.
